Miss Tate and Mr. Lefler exchange vows at Second Baptist Church of Conway

Miss Mallory Rea Tate and Mr. Chance Douglas Lefler, both of Conway, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on June 2, 2012, in a double-ring ceremony at Second Baptist Church of Conway, officiated by Pastor Paul Hudson of Conway.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Belinda Tate of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Hamilton and the late Mr. Dewey Hamilton of Conway, and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Tate and the late Mrs. Noble Faye Tate of Harrison, Ark.

The groom is the son of Lance and Lynn Lefler of Conway. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Chance of Conway, and Mrs. Virgie Lefler and the late Doug Lefler of Stuttgart, Ark.

The outside of Second Baptist Church was decorated with pink ribbon. The entrance was lined with green ferns and large lanterns filled with pink rose petals and candles. The foyer entry table was decorated with black iron candlesticks and a picture of the couple. Pink rose petals were spilled out over the table. Programs were also on the table held in a black basket. The altar of the church was adorned with large candelabras and were flanked by Tuscan columns. Inside the columns were spiral votive candles. On the top of the columns were large floral arrangements of pink gladiolus, roses, mums and peonies. Green ferns were placed around the church.

The guests were seated to the couple’s favorite church hymns played by organist, Milton Bull, cousin of the groom. While the organist played “Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring,” the groom escorted his mother to her seat, followed by the mother of the bride escorted by Zackery Hill. A saxophone solo of “The Wedding Song” was played by Greg Montgomery. Bible scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 was read by Pastor Stan Young. The bridesmaids began the processional to “Canon in D.” “The Bridal Chorus” announced the bride and her father.
